On May 3, the Freudenberg internal “We all take care” award ceremony took place in Weinheim. The twelve international teams of finalists from the Freudenberg Business Groups and the “We all take care” groups presented their projects to the jury in the first half of the day. The three winners were selected at an evening ceremony held in honor of the teams and in recognition of all 157 projects submitted this year.
The winner is the project team at Freudenberg & Vilene Nonwovens in Yangmei, Taiwan. The team wanted to find a process to both reduce chemical consumption and improve the quality of treated water.
About “We all take care”
Since launching in 2002, the Freudenberg Group-wide internal “We all take care” initiative has encouraged employees around the world to make their work and workplace safer, healthier and more environmentally friendly; to get involved in social projects and help improve safety at the company.
The initiative stands for putting corporate values into practice – across country borders, hierarchies and Business Groups. Each employee is encouraged to bring forth ideas and suggestions. Currently, more than 3,000 projects have been submitted. Every year Freudenberg honors employees who have successfully taken part in the project with the “We all take care” award.
