Weinheim, December 23, 2021. Sigle, an extremely able and valued attorney, was a member of the Freudenberg Group Board of Partners from 1982 to 2002.
At the highest legal level, he advised the company on adjustments to its partnership agreement, among other matters, with a farsighted business sense and the capacity to balance diverse interests. Sigle was a member of supervisory and management boards at more than 40 companies. His commitment, in both his work and his philanthropy, was multifaceted. At Freudenberg, he wholeheartedly embraced the tradition, style and ideals of the family and the company, and quickly gained the trust and goodwill of its shareholders. His good judgment was recognized, and his words carried a great deal of weight.
“It quickly became clear to us that we were lucky to have him,” Reinhart Freudenberg, longtime CEO and Chairman of the Board of Partners, said in 2002 when Sigle left the panel.
We will remember Prof. Dr. Walter Sigle as an impressive figure and recall his contributions to our company with the greatest appreciation and gratitude.
